If you are an author and are having a hard time finding a publishing company that will publish your book, you are not alone. That’s why many authors have turned to self-publishing.

The concept of self-publishing has been around forever, but pre-internet required that you have an orchard of money trees at your disposal. Now that the internet has evolved and services like Digital Content Center are just a mouse click away, anyone can self publish an ebook, audio book or manuscript. If you are willing to put a little time and money into your self publishing venture, you can really make money self publishing.

Here are some tips I feel are important:

A) Create a website, blog, or social media page that is really nice. Yes, I know things are tight but spend a couple bucks on creating it. If you do not have the skill set to do so, hire someone to help you. This is the foundation of launching your ebook and you want it to be solid and impressive.

B) Make sure your ebook is explained in the text and tone of your site. No one will buy something that appears boring. If possible have a sample. People love samples. (Think about the supermarket, don’t you love samples?)

C) Allow a quick purchase. There is nothing worse than going to a website and needing Magellan to help navigate to the buy page. Remember most purchases are impulse so getting your visitor to the checkout page as quickly as possible will increase your sales.
