Content Shelf and Dropbox – Like Peanut Butter and Jelly

Content Shelf and Dropbox are similar to a peanut butter and jelly sandwich… we are completely different but work great together.

How’s that?

Well, here at Content Shelf, we facilitate the selling of digital content (e-books, video, music, etc.)… and Dropbox stores this digital content for free in the cloud, allowing users to access this content anywhere (mobile devices, tablets, computers, and/or laptops).

As a seller of digital files, we don’t know the device our clients will use to read, view and/or listen to the purchased content.  For instance, Rachel the Reader might use her iPhone, while Ester the e-Book Lover prefers to use her Kindle.  Or Murray the Musician might store all of his purchased tunes on his laptop, while Oscar the Old-School Song Bird probably always listens to his downloads on his big ole PC.

Bottom line: we can’t predict, nor can we control where our buyers want to load and store their recently purchased digital files.

So as a seller, what should we do?  This all seems like too much to worry about…

But don’t worry; Content Shelf can help!

All clients selling digital content through Content Shelf have the option to allow their buyers to send purchased content directly to their very own Dropbox account.   This serves as a HUGE advantage to the seller because not only can we offer our digital content as files for downloading and streaming, we can put the power right into our clients’ hands by giving them the choice to push the purchased content directly to their Dropbox account!

And for these customers selecting this delivery method, sending the purchased data to Dropbox has never been easier.  All one has to do is:

Step 1 – Choose the Dropbox delivery method
Step 2 – Connect their very own Dropbox account to Content Shelf
Step 3 – Content is automatically pushed to their very own Dropbox account

Following these three simple steps allows our clients’ customers to view content on ANY device.  ANY device = Desktops and/or Laptops and/or Tablets and/or Mobile Phones.
