Mobile Mode, New Charts & Graphs, and Other Upgrades and Updates

Happy summer everyone! It’s hard to believe it’s almost over…

We’ve been working really hard to avoid the heat, so we’ve stayed indoors and focused on a few brand new features that will help our clients sell and deliver content better than ever before.

Read on to learn more…

Mobile Mode

Content Shelf now offers a complete end-to-end mobile buying and content access solution.

Considering mobile devices are being used more and more for buying and accessing content, we’ve upgraded our system to automatically detect the device the buyer is using and provide a responsive environment. Yes; we said automatically and responsive!

Back in March, we shared the news of our Responsive Design Checkout with the Content Shelf Store Widget. Today, we’re excited to announce the Mobile Mode!

If a buyer is using a mobile device to access their content, Content Shelf will now automatically recognize that device AND provide the proper viewing experience for the device being used.

Designed specifically for smaller “mobile” screens, Mobile Mode provides a fantastic experience for buyers who stream audio and video (live or playback), as well as view all types of files (including PDF and images). Plus, we’ve programmed the system to look for additional software on the device that can be used to open “not so mainstream files.”

New Charts & Graphs

Our Charts & Graphs have been upgraded and now include tracking for total sales, total revenue, product types, and sales by country.

All Charts & Graphs include the ability to dial into reporting by day, week, month, and/or year.

In addition to being visually appealing, the Charts & Graphs also provide aggregate and comparison data for the day, week, month, and/or year.

Our new Charts & Graphs really help sellers visualize and track their sales activity… effortlessly.

Transaction Emails – New Look, Feel and Provider

As providers like Gmail, AOL, Yahoo, and others are constantly upgrading their email systems, it was time for us to do the same.

We not only upgraded and re-wrote our outbound email template, we also switched vendors from SendGrid to Mandrill.

So far, we have seen not only an increase in deliverability, but also an increase in speed to which those emails are being delivered. Win!

Coupons, Promotions and Bundles Sorting

Sorting trigger products, affected products, and available products is now a snap! We’ve re-organized how nested drop downs work so that clients can choose the first letter of the product and it will be selected automatically.

Email Confirmations & Coupon Codes

If a coupon code was used at check out, we previously displayed the discounted amount… but not the coupon code used. Now we do both.

View Cart Options

For clients who use the Content Shelf hosted cart themes and options, their buyers can now change the option on the view cart page. And if they forget to “update the cart” prior to checkout, the system now remembers their new choice.

Performance Enhancements & Bug Fixes

Last but not least, we’ve also fixed some bugs and made performance enhancements to many areas within the Content Shelf application.

Coming Soon

We’ll be releasing more cool features in the coming months. Check back often for updates.
